CRWP is announcing the availability of a series of workshops beginning in
February which describe how to design and create a rain garden. These gardens
help control runoff and stabilize shorelands. Read this email.

Pondweed Cutting Procedure

1. No permit needed for less than 2500 sq ft. Otherwise,........
2. Apply for the cutting permit
(per these instructions)
before April 1, before the DNR aquatic resource staff gets busy.
3. May is the best time to cut. DNR does not recommend weed cutting after
June 1st.
4. Exception to the 2500 sq ft limit is for a boat channel, but the channel
may not be more than 15 ft wide.
5. Borrow a weed cutter from someone in your neighborhood, sharpen and return
when finished.
